Calorie Counting...sort ofI've begun using a calorie counter called My Fitness Buddy on my Android. Trouble is, I don't seem to be active enough to eat more than 1200 calories a day. That's pretty bad.
Whole Wheat Bread Recipe
1 1/2 C Warm Water
1 Tbsp Oil
3 Tbsp Honey (You may want to increase this to 4 if the bread doesn't rise well)
1 tsp Salt
1 1/2 C Hard White Wheat Flour
1 1/2 C Soft White Wheat Flour
1/3 C Vital Wheat Gluten (This is the "secret" ingredient to make it super fluffy)
2 tsp Active Dry Yeast.
Bread Machine: Bake on Wheat setting (Never Rapid)
Bread Machine Wheat Dough Mode:
Preheat oven to 375°F. Shape dough into greased loaf pan and bake 30 mins or until crust is brown.
Mix together water, oil, and honey, add yeast, stir and set aside. Mix together dry ingredients in another bowl until well blended. Mix in water/yeast mixture and knead. Raise until dough doubles in size. Knead on a floured board, shape, and place in greased bread pan. Raise again until it doubles in size. Bake for 30 mins at 375° or until crust is golden brown.
COOL BEFORE SLICING!!
